My eBay Method: 13 Steps to Profitable Auctions

eBay buyers are wary of dishonest sellers, and as a seller, you should be wary of dishonest buyers. Insurance protects the buyer from the loss of an item. It also protects the seller from accusations of never having sent the item, as well as a buyer claiming it was never received.
Don’t leave the decision about insurance up to the buyer. They are usually to excited about winning the eBay auction to keep track of all of these details. Include insurance in your initial shipping costs and make this clear to the buyer in the original eBay posting. Insurance is cheap and can save both you and the buyer a world of headaches.

eBay is a great way to get rid of your extra belongings while making some money. While anyone can sign up and sell their wares on eBay, it doesn’t take an experienced seller or buyer to realize some simple mistakes that people make, or to identify how the seller could do better.
Here I aim to generate a list of hints and tips that can be used to help eBay sellers and buyers. While some will be obvious to you, a quick perusal of the eBay site will make it readily apparent that they are not obvious to everyone.
I will do my best to compare and contrast sellers postings to highlight mistakes and point out ways in which improvements can be made. It is entirely possible that these improvements can be translated directly into cash.
However, keep in mind that this is just advice, I cannot be held responsible for the fact that your item did not sell or sold for less than you would have liked. Your final decisions are up to you.
Good Luck and Good Bidding!
